Hello everyone, and welcome to the first official post of the Naimoli Children’s Books Blog!
My name is Tyler Joshua Naimoli, and I am an aspiring children’s book author and illustrator based in New York City. Since I was ten years old, I knew what this was the career path I was going to take, and for years I have been creating all kinds of characters and works. They were all each their own thing until a few years ago, when I decided to make all these works take place in the same continuity, which I call the Naimoli Universe!
In my spare time, I work on three different children’s chapter book series, an informative one, an educational one, and a comical one. I also write multiple graphic novel series, a comic strip, and concepts for a virtual world and edutainment franchise. I am currently enrolled in college at Parsons School of Design, working towards an Illustration/Journalism + Design degree as a dual degree student. My college education has already taught me many of the fundamentals that I am going to need for my career, of which I couldn’t be more grateful for. It was last summer that I took a course that helped me to finally have the urge to put myself out here on the Internet, so that I can get some exposure with work I am willing to show in order to get noticed and eventually published! However, when I mean “work I am willing to show”, I mean work that I don’t intend on publishing, as putting work on the Internet can mitigate the chances of it being published. So I won’t be putting or revealing the body of my work on this blog. Sorry!
However, the work that I am willing to show is work that I worked hard to make sure you’d enjoy, in both visuals and storytelling. I’ve been working on the idea I’d post on this blog for months, which ended up being a lengthy process of scrapped and edited ideas. This is due to my care for what I wish to share with the world for the first time.
It is a comic series called The Cross Dimensional Awareness of Izzy Speechbubbles, of which I will release its installments as both blog posts and on the Comics page. Below is the official logo and premise for the series!

Izzy Speechbubbles is an eight year old girl who loves comics so much, no, that is not her real last name! But even Izzy didn’t see what was coming when she decides to run away from her supposedly unfair family one day. Upon running off of the comic panel she realized she inhabited, she learned that she was not only a comic character who could break the fourth wall, but she had the ability to travel from her comic world to other comic worlds in a realm known as the Nexus of all Comics! Now, get ready to travel alongside Izzy in her adventures as she learns what it means to give her family a chance – and whatever sure-to-be-crazy escapades will entail after that! Be aware that you may never see comics the same way again, and she’s very well aware of you. Behold, The Cross Dimensional Awareness of Izzy Speechbubbles!
Aside from Izzy Speechbubbles, I will also make other kinds of posts for some variety. For starters, I will definitely be making other kinds of stories (that again, I am willing to show), and I already have some ideas. These posts will be tagged as “Comics” and “Stories”. But among my other kinds of posts will include but are not limited to:
- Posts about me, perhaps (tagged Me)
- Some of my generic artwork (tagged Artwork)
- About my work in college (that I wish to or don’t mind sharing) (tagged College)
- About other children’s literature that I love and has greatly influenced me, as well as its derivative works (tagged Children’s Books)
- How to write and to do some of the things I can do (tagged How-To’s)
- Only if you wish, and if I have I enough to say about it that’s worthy of a post, anything I bring up in my posts that don’t relate to any of the above (tagged Other)
However, be aware of the fact that because of my college duties, my own personal work and the time required to make and edit content, I can’t always keep the blog active, and even when I can, posts probably won’t come terribly often. However, this is because I try my best to make posts worth it when they do come. I will do everything I can to stay devoted of course, but if I simply can’t I will be sure to provide updates regarding when I will be able to post again. These posts will be tagged as “Blog Updates”. Though since this blog has the Naimoli Family name, my family is always open to helping me out in any way they can, as well as others who are close to me in my life.
But that’s all for now guys! You got to know me, and I can’t wait to get to know you all!
Stay enlightened, educated and entertained,
Tyler
